Six illegal foreigners have been arrested across Gauteng for cable theft and infrastructure damage following a coordinated multi-agency operation. Authorities recovered stolen cables and vowed to intensify the crackdown on infrastructure crime.

Gauteng — In a decisive multi-agency operation, six illegal foreigners were arrested across Gauteng for their alleged involvement in cable theft and the destruction of critical infrastructure.

The operation was a joint effort involving Deka Specialized Services, Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (WC), AfriForum Krugersdorp, Joint Ops Group, EC Security, and Piquant Security. Acting on credible intelligence, officers pursued a group of suspects who fled the scene after being caught stealing essential service cables.
